Gresham’s School is situated on the edge of the North Norfolk town of Holt.

There are a number of travel options to reach The Music Summer School and Festival.

By Car: There is ample car parking at Gresham’s. Holt is located approximately 22 miles north of Norwich. From London and the south take the M11 towards Cambridge and then the A148 via Thetford and Fakenham to Holt. From Birmingham and the Midlands take the M6 and A14 and A148 via Peterborough, Wisbeach and King’s Lynn to Holt. From the north take the A1 to Peterborough and then join the route via the A14 and A148.

By train: There is a regular branch line service from Norwich to Sheringham. We will arrange collections and drop-offs at Sheringham station. Norwich is well connected to the national rail network. The National Rail Journey Planner can be found at this link.

On Saturday 27th July and Saturday 3rd August we will arrange a free transfer from Sheringham Station to Gresham’s School, collecting participants arriving on the 15.42 arrival at Sheringham (the 14.45 departure from Norwich).

On Saturday 3rd August and Saturday 10th August we will arrange a free transfer from Gresham’s School to Sheringham Station to enable participants to catch the 09.43 departure which arrives in Norwich at 10.38.

Should you arrive at Sheringham at a different time then Gresham’s School is approximately 5.5 miles away. A regular bus service connects Sheringham and Holt and timetables can be found at this link.

For international travellers: If arriving at one of the London airports, head to London Liverpool Street station to take a train to Norwich and then on to Sheringham. Norwich also has an airport with flights connecting to the KLM hub at Amsterdam. For international visitors who choose to drive there is a ferry service, run by Stena Line, from the Hook of Holland to Harwich from where it is approximately a two hour drive to Holt.
