East meets East Anglia

This concert will feature North Indian Classical instruments such as the sitar and tablas together with Hindustani vocal music. We will hear a typical presentation of a classical raga (including an alap, jor, gath and jhalla) with improvised sections on both tabla/ sitar/vocal. We will also present some lighter, semi-classical vocal styles such as ghazal (romantic poetry) as well as bhajans (devotional hymns).
