Our adult vocal ensemble summer school UK offers experienced singers the opportunity to work closely with singers from I Fagiolini.

This course draws on repertoire from the ensemble’s 40th anniversary programme. Participants will explore works by Monteverdi and Wilbye alongside other Renaissance and early Baroque masterpieces.

As part of our wider adult music summer school in Norfolk, this vocal ensemble course offers:

• Intensive small-group rehearsal

• Detailed stylistic coaching

• Exploration of text, phrasing and blend

• End of course performance with orchestra

Working with singers from I Fagiolini provides insight into ensemble precision, expressive clarity and historically informed performance practice at a high level.

Preparation and Repertoire

A booklet of repertoire will be sent in advance, together with recommended listening, enabling participants to arrive well prepared and ready to work intensively.

Who This Course Is For

Our Adult Vocal Ensemble Summer School UK is designed for confident adult singers who enjoy working in smaller vocal groups at a high level. Participants should be comfortable preparing repertoire in advance and singing independently within an ensemble setting.

This course is particularly suited to singers with an interest in Renaissance and early Baroque repertoire, text-led interpretation and historically informed performance practice. While the atmosphere is supportive and collaborative, the musical expectations are serious and focused.
