Composition; Making a living as a composer

This course is for composers of varying levels of experience. Stephen will look at different types of commissions that you might have as a composer such as writing for different sized ensembles like choirs, orchestras, community ensembles, players of varying standards and ensembles with non-traditional forces. This is a practical course where you will be set tasks by Stephen who will then guide composers in how to construct and manipulate compositional ideas.

There are 2 sessions a day dedicated to this course. These are in session 2 and session 3. You can choose to participate in both or one of these sessions.
