Anna Anise
Anna Anise is a songwriter, music facilitator and director of CHORUS Songwriting, a non-profit organisation that runs songwriting retreats and events to empower musicians to collaborate and co-write songs for the advancement of their careers and wellbeing.
She has a first class degree in Songwriting from BIMM Bristol University, and is currently a research fellow for the Churchill Fellowship which sees her travelling to the USA to explore some of the worlds best songwriting retreats and camps. She is a member of Cornish Language vocal harmony group Hireth, and an alumni of the Endelienta Arts Cornish Language Residency. She has also been artist in residence at Hawkwood College, Brisons Veor Trust and Halsway Manor Centre for Folk Arts.
She is a touring and performing artist having played extensively around the UK folk circuit including Green Note (London), Folklore Rooms (Brighton), Cafe#9 (Sheffield), Cobalt Studios (Newcastle), Porters (Cardiff), Dartington Hall (Devon), and festivals including Between the Trees, Green Man, Green Gathering and Fire in the Mountain. In October 2024 she completed an 18 date support tour with dream-folk trio Hands of the Heron and a joint headline tour in the spring with violinist and songwriter boci.
This year she is working on the recording of her next album, ahead of an extensive year of touring planned for 2026.
