Ophelia Amar – Experience Manager

Ophelia Amar is a French-British organist and arts manager. She enjoys a busy life performing, teaching and researching alongside working as the administrator of the St Albans International Organ Festival and as Individual Giving Manager for Jonathan Cohen’s Arcangelo. She is also a trustee of the Nicholas Danby Trust, which supports organists studying in the UK and Europe.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Ophelia studied History, Political Science and Musicology at the Sorbonne and at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. She has an MSc in Arts & Cultural management from HEC Paris Business School and is now a member of the School’s Art Bureau team in London, organising cultural events of all kinds.

As a musicologist, Ophelia has been commissioned to write a biography of fin-de-siècle French violinist Charlotte Vormèse, for a new research center which will soon open its doors later in the Sables-d’Olonne, France. She will be starting a fully-funded PhD in Music at the University of Cambridge in the autumn of 2026, focusing on organists from the Paris conservatoire in the 1930s.
